The electric map is one most crucial carry while people doing geography spatial information application and cognition,in the meanwhile, sex difference influences the spatial cognition about the map. This paper, via a series of map cognition experiments, analyzed the differences between male and female in observing, cognizing, shaping and expressing map process. The experiment showed that male is more sensitive in spatial relation and female have more outstanding abilities in cognizing texts, shapes, location and area of the elements.
