颜色作为一种符号,它用来表征事物、传达特定的信息;作为一种载体,用来宣泄不同民族的思想感情,反映世情百态。颜色词作为每个民族语言中基本的表象词,从多个角度反映了不同民族的社会文化特点和民族特性。文章围绕黑与白两种颜色词,通过对黑与白颜色词在藏语、英语中的内涵及其翻译问题进行分析比较,试图揭示黑与白颜色词在藏语和英语中的基本内涵、象征意义及其基本翻译规律。
A color term as a symbol is used to characterize a specific substance, and to convey certain information. As culture loaded words color terms are expressing the thoughts and feelings of different nationalities, and reflecting their different cultures and national identities. In the article a comparative analysis is done on the different underlying meanings of the color terms black and white in Tibetan and English languages with the aim of being able to translate the two color terms between the two languages properly.
