China's leading software company Kingsoft Corporation Limited (Kingsoft) has witnessed its Chairman Kau Pak Kwan retire from his position,meanwhile,Lei Jun,one of the founders of Kingsoft,returned to the company. 47-year-old Kau is long for an early retire; and he is more a genius developer than a manager.Lei worked as CEO for nine years since 1998,and was proved a qualified, hard-working CEO.He successfully led the company from a small software workshop to grow into an Internet company with global influence,and finished the initial public offering in 2007. But two months later,Lei left the company and devoted himself to the venture capital industry,and became a famous angel investor.After that,the company suffered continuous revenue slides and inner adjustments.Kau had to ask Lei back and introduced Internet giant Tencent into the board,which led to Tencent the largest shareholder. To appease the company,Kau and another founder Zhang Xuanlong entrusted their shares to Lei,and made Lei the largest shareholder as well as the real controller of Kingsoft.Lei now realized he means not only the leader,but also the guide to the company.But it remains a question where the company will head.
