In the process of preparation of reference material,the homogeneity test and the setting value test was very important.The mathematical statistics in preparation of reference material of head rice yield of japonica rice was described in detail,including the homogeneity test and the setting value test.The certified value and uncertainty of reference material was calculated and illuminated with a particular case.
