收入分配差距与经济增长的非线性关系再检验

Retest of Nonlinearity between Chinese Income Inequality and Economic Growth

采用门槛效应模型和中国1996～2007年的省级面板数据,探讨了不同阶段下收入分配差距对经济增长的影响是否存在非线性关系。研究发现,收入分配差距对经济增长的影响存在人力资本门槛(8.97年),未跨越门槛时收入分配差距表现为有利于经济增长,而跨越门槛后则转变为不利于经济增长。虽然我国整体及部分地区的人力资本存量未跨越该门槛,但随着经济发展转变为主要依靠人力资本的集约型增长方式,收入分配差距对经济增长的负面影响已逐渐显现,当前控制收入分配差距刻不容缓。

In order to investigate whether there is a non-linear relationship between income distribution gap and economic growth in different stage of development,this paper constructs a threshold model between income inequality and economic growth,then uses China＇s provincial panel data to estimate.The empirical results show that： The impact from income distribution gap to economic growth has evident threshold of human capital（8.97 years）,which split the sample into two regimes.Beyond the threshold,the income distribution gap turns to have a negative impact on economic growth,which has positive effect before.Although average years of schooling in China doesn＇t step across the threshold of human capital,the negative effect from income distribution gap to economic growth is gradually becoming significant.So it＇s necessary to narrow the income distribution gap to keep the sustainable economic growth.
