侦查是围绕案件展开的,以揭露犯罪事实,抓获犯罪嫌疑人为目的的活动。犯罪嫌疑人是侦查活动的重心,但是,掌握犯罪线索、收集犯罪证据判断犯罪嫌疑人的方向、确定犯罪嫌疑人更多的时候是依靠犯罪嫌疑人以外的第三人而得以取得的。因此,侦查第三人在侦查活动中具有十分重要的意义,合理的划定第三人,将侦查第三人划定为相对第三人和绝对第三人,在侦查活动中区别对待,具有十分重要的现实意义。
