A SURVEY OF RUGGEDIZED COMPUTERS

加固计算机是一种重新安装在新外壳之中,适于军用标准的商用计算机。由于它的造价低,近年来得到飞速发展。本文评述了加固计算机的特点和发展概况,介绍了美国的加固/军用规范计算机环境建议标准和加固计算机在大的系统工程中的应用。

The ruggedized computer is a standard commercial computer mounted in a new shell to meet the requirements of the military environment. Since the ruggedized computer costs only 10-20% as much as a computer developed specifically to the Military Specification, it has an ever growing market in computer industry. This paper describes the features and the current development of ruggedized computers. The US Environmental Standards for Ruggedized and Militarized Computers and applications of the ruggedized computer in the large military programs are also introduced.
