摘要 高职教育的任务是培养技术、生产、管理、服务等领域的高等应用性专门人才。目前多数高职院校的大学英语课程,由于诸多原因的限制,仍采用大班教学,给教和学双方都带来一定影响。语言教学不同于其他学科的教学,它是一门实践课,小班化课堂教学能够促进每一个学生全面而富有个性的发展,学生有更多的机会处于教学活动的中心地位,有更多时间与教师交往、沟通,得到个性化的教育。 Higher vocational education trains the applied and specialized talents who meet the needs of the forefront of technology,production,management and service.Currently,due to many reasons and restrictions,the size of English classes in a majority of vocational colleges is rather big(usually over fifty students),which exerts certain negative influences on both teaching and learning,and as a result,the students cannot achieve overall development in English practical abilities.The teaching and learning of languages is quite different from that of other subjects because it lays great emphasis on practice.Small-size-classes can help every student develop comprehensively and individually.All students can have more chances to stay at the center of teaching and learning activities,and they can have more time to communicate with classmates and teachers as well,so as to get individualized education.
