Information commons（IC）has provided a brand-new space for readers to construct and share the information,to learn creatively and to exchange their academic ideas freely.As the outcome of the combining the library basic theories with the modern technology,the upsurge of the IC construction in higher schools has its own theory foundation,which follows the essential laws of library science such as＂The Five Laws of Library Science＂and＂The Five Laws of Library Science 2.0＂.There are no inflexible modes for IC construction in practice and great innovation should be made in the idea,the resource and the technology to satisfy readers＇ specific demand which is constantly changing.
