外语教学三大情结与语言习得有效路径 被引量:219

An analysis of three L2 teaching preferences in light of an efficient route to L2 learning

摘要 纠错、学语法和应考,在我国外语教学中十分常见,很有影响,本文称之为外语教学的三大情结。为了分析三大情结对外语学习的利弊,笔者提出语言习得有效路径,指出互动是语言习得的源头,强调融合相关语境变量以促进理解,倡导理解和产出紧密结合以练就语言技能。这些理念对认识三大情结与外语学习的关系、改进外语教学、提高外语学习效率有启示意义。 Error correction,grammar-and test-oriented learning are three time-honored practices in L2 teaching in China.Some teachers rely so much on the three activities in L2 instruction that they acquire overwhelming preferences for them.For a deeper understanding of these three teaching preferences and their effects on L2 learning,the present paper formulates a model of language learning that aims to schematize a route to efficient L2 acquisition.The route emphasizes that language acquisition starts with interaction and involves comprehension and production.The degree to which comprehension and production are closely integrated determines efficiency of language learning.This conceptualization contributes to an account of the three preferences and its relationship to L2 learning and has implications for improving L2 pedagogy.
