摘要
认知语言学奉行认知的体验观,主张概念结构的形成是建立在人的体验经验基础上的。本文通过介绍认知心理学中的"感知符号系统"理论,指出概念结构不仅在构建和组织过程中依赖感知经验,其表征形式也具有高度的感知特性。这种理论不仅为认知语言学中的体验观提供了心理学证据,而且对于语言中词汇意义、抽象概念、隐喻等的理解以及范畴化语言习得等方面的解释都具有重要的启示作用。
Cognitive Linguistics advocates the thesis of embodied cognition,which postulates that the formation of conceptual structure is based on the embodied experience of human beings.This paper briefly introduces the Perceptual Symbol System in Cognitive Psychology,pointing out that the construction and organization of conceptual structures hinge on perceptual experience,and that the representation of conceptual structures is essentially perceptual in nature.This theory not only provides psychological evidence for the embodied cognition thesis in Cognitive Linguistics,but also gives inspiration to the studies in areas such as the comprehension of lexical semantics,abstract concepts and metaphor,as well as the explanation for categorization and language acquisition.
