摘要
人类的身体被作为一种基质用于认识和体验世界,历经几千年这种"体认"世界的过程,表身体各部位的人体词语的意义被赋予厚重的隐喻性和转喻性。本文分4类情形探讨人体词语词义的转喻性,即人体词语转指人、转指长度单位、转指人体相应部位的特征或功能以及转指人体部位相应的动作行为,对其词义转喻性特征进行细致的分析。由于转喻操作的便利性,人体词语词义的转喻性是一个极其突显的特征,无论共时还是历时,均须予以关注。
The human body with all its complexities has been applied to help us to know and experience the world for millennia.This has resulted in the strong metaphorical and metonymical properties of acceptation of the body terms.This paper focuses on the latter,and elaborates upon the problem from four aspects,namely the body terms metonymically used for the person,for the units of measurement,for the physical features or functions possessed by body parts,and for the action of body parts.The convenience of the metonymy makes the metonymical properties of acceptation of the body terms a prominent feature.Therefore,synchronically and diachronically,it deserves more studies.
