论述了我国古代索引的发展历史与民国时期蓬勃兴起的索引运动,重点介绍了近代学术论文的检索途径。各类索引,分门别类,一一列明,一目了然,从中可以清楚地了解到我国近代特别是民国时期各学科的学术研究状况。关于近代报刊资料的收藏与检索查找,本文也作了介绍,读者可以按图索骥。

This paper gives an account of the history of index and the index movement in modern China with focus on approaches to the utilization of academic papers in modern China.With clear classification of various indices,this paper presents the condition of academic researches in modern China especially in the period of Republic of China.Besides,the author gives an introduction of the collection retrieval of newspapers and periodicals published in modern China,with the hope of helping the readers of this paper in their studies.
