Based on literature metrology, this paper gives a statistical analysis of the compilation of the papers published in Journal of Xi ＇ an University of Arts and Science： Natural Science Edition over the past five years. The issues addressed are the total articles, fund project - aided papers, research areas and age structures of the authors, etc. , in an effort to further improve the overall quality of the journal.
