Promoting college English teachers＇ professional development is an effective way to improve college English teaching quality.As a learning idea as well as a method,action learning plays an important way in shaping college English teachers＇ reflective thinking,in increasing teachers＇ practical knowledge and in constructing teachers＇ learning communities.In practical teaching,English teachers can implement action learning by classroom observation,school-based case discussion and cooperative action research.
