Liu Meili＇s Dream has been Far from Home is a novel reflecting a theme of the collapse of a family.The hero ＂I＂,facing the ＂passion＂ of ＂repented＂ father,hopes to pursue the lost family through keeping the new house,but only roves between the ideal and the reality.By describing the opposing views and behaviors of mother,sister,＂I＂,father towards the new house,the novel reveals the fact that collapse family can not be retrieved.Through an objective description with little emotional sense,the protagonist＇s helplessness of ＂dream has been far from home＂ is highlighted and Liu Mei-li＇s ＂personal＂ characteristics and ＂family＂ theme are reflected.
