Blueberry planting in Jiaonan started in 2001.During the period of the development of the blueberry industry,Jiaonan actively created the blueberry core area and promoted the construction of blueberry parks.Jiaonan insists on the production and operation mode of 'enterprise,cooperation,base and farmers',makes great effort to develop the blueberry seeding raising and deep processing,and promotes the industrial development.At present,21 blueberry products of Jiaonan have passed the authentication of pollution-free agricultural products,green food,organic food,ISO9000 and GAP.The four blueberry brands 'Wallen','Nongyuan Caizhu','Huihai',and 'Healthy Farm' passed the international organic food authentication.'Wallen Blueberry' was honored as one of the ten famous agricultural products brands of Qingdao.There are four blueberry production bases in Jiaonan with the area of about 200 hectares.Jiaonan is promoting the declaration work of 'Jiaonan Blueberry' Geographical Indication.In the future,it will hopefully pass the 'National Protection of Geographical Indications'.
