图书馆管理系统作为图书馆系统的重要组成部分，对图书馆发展以及读者的便利提供了重要的前提。在图书馆的运行过程中，最基本同时也是最首要的工作就是对大量的读者信息、图书馆借阅书籍信息以及两者相互作用产生的借书信息等进行相应的管理。在当前小型图书馆的管理过程中，有些还采用传统的人工管理方式，一方面浪费了大量的人力物力，同时还容易出现错误。因此，加强小型图书馆管理系统的设计与实现显得尤为重要。
