摘要
随着Internet的日益发展,其尽力传送(best-effort)的传送模式显然远不能满足语音、实时图像和电子商务等业务对时延、抖动和可靠性的要求,于是提出了IP服务质量(QoS)问题.目前实现IP QoS的新技术各有长短,可以综合应用以发挥更好的作用.IP和ATM真正融合、优势互朴,也许是最终的解决方案.
Several new technologies for IP QoS realization are introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of each technology are discussed and the way how they work together is also presented. IP QoS implementation is compared with ATM QoS implementation, and the possibility of integrating IP Qos with ATM QoS is also discussed.
