论动物词“鱼”的英汉国俗语义之异同

On the Similarities and Differences of the Animal Word "Fish" in English and Chinese

语言既是文化的载体,又是文化的写照。英汉两种语言中有很多动物词语都具有丰富的国俗语义,都包涵着丰富的文化内涵。本文以动物词"鱼"为例,对其在英汉语中的国俗语义进行对比,有助于人们更恰当地把握不同语言深层次的文化内涵,从而促进跨文化交际的顺利进行。

Language is the carrier of culture,and it also reflects culture.Quite a number of animal words from Chinese and English language have their own special cultural implication.Taking the animal word ＂fish＂ for example,the article make a contrastive study of its national culture meanings in English and Chinese,which aims to help people grasp deep cultural connotations of different languages so that it will contribute to a cross-culture communication.
