摘要
高等学校英语应用能力考试(PRETCO)的目的是考核学生实际运用语言的能力,促进高职高专的英语教学。通过对高职高专英语应用能力考试测试题型的分析,发现PRETCO对高职英语课堂教学具有反拨作用。为此,教师应从革新课堂教学模式、调整课程结构等方面提高PRETCO的正效作用,改进英语课堂教学。
PRETCO aims at testing the students' command of English to improve the quality of English teaching and to cultivate their comprehensive competence in the language in vocational colleges.This paper analyzes the test styles,studies its backwash effects on the English classroom teaching in vocational colleges.It points out that teachers should enhance its positive effects by reforming classroom teaching modes,restructuring teaching materials so as to improve English teaching.
