Because of their unique physical and chemical properties, nanomaterials have been widely used to develop biosensing systems for bioanalytical and biomedical applications. The journal Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry published 35 papers on nanomaterial-based biosensors in 2010, including 5 reviews and 29 research articles. These biosensing systems were fabricated by a broad range of nanomaterials (e.g., carbon nanotube, gold nanoparticle, magnetic nanoparticle, silica nanoparticle, quantum dot, and so forth, Figure 1), some of them have high quality and get great achievements.
