秦雍城豆腐村制陶作坊遗址发掘简报

A Brief Archaeological Report on the Pottery Workshop Site in Doufu Village,Fengxiang County

秦雍城遗址位于陕西省凤翔县城以南，东距西安市170公里，西南距宝鸡市50公里。据文献记载，从春秋晚期的德公元年（前677年）至战国中期的献公二年（前383年）的294年间，雍城一直作为秦国都城，成为秦人由西向东逐渐迁徙过程所建九个都邑中使用时间最长的一座。雍城遗址由城址、秦公陵园、国人墓葬区和郊外秦汉建筑遗址组成。城址系秦国都城的宫城所在地，位于今凤翔县城中心以南，总面积10．56平方公里。

The pottery workshop was located in the northwest section of the Yongcheng city ruins, and it was used for manufacturing bricks and tiles during the Warring States period. The products were used exclusively for palace construction in the Yongcheng city. Archaeologists have discovered pottery kilns, clay mining pits, clay storage pits, underground ceramic pipelines for water supply in the workshop, wells, clay preparation pits （tampering and mixing）, and storage pits. Spaces for manufacturing and drying products were also found. Unearthed artifacts include square bricks, flat tiles, semicircular tiles, tile ends, veneer bricks, roof ornaments, pottery making tools, and daily wares. Excavations of the site not only showed the manufacturing process for making building materials, but also provided stratigraphic evidence for their classification.
