在大学学费高涨、就业压力剧增的背景下,"读书无用论"又"卷土重来"。在新形势下,以初中毕业生选择报读电大"2+2"大专为例,应用财务管理中的货币时间价值观念,对教育投资的收益进行估算,结果表明:除了教育的信号功能依然有效外,教育投资依然是一项十分值得的投资,当然要特别注意教育投资的时效性问题,同时能力是关键,学习要以社会需求为导向。

The idea of＂uselessness of study＂ has come back while university tuition is upsurging and pressure on employment is mounting. In this paper, the author focuses on the benefits of education investment by using financial management in currency time value. It points out that education investment is still a worthwhile one; the following issues must be considered, including timelineness, competence and market-orientation.
