By the 20th century, some researches about "body" had gradually become the important learning in feminism study. From the viewpoint of body, feminists reread the Bible. This thesis shows how the portrayal to the body of women in the Gospel of Mark reflects a kind of new opinion about the social status of women. By analyzing description of the body in the Gospel of Mark, this thesis shows that the formative Christianity which was still in the maternal-fetal of Jewish culture, made a lot of changes of the concepts of the body in Jewish culture and built up a new value system to the culture in that time.
