Some Comments on Present Relationship between South Korea and Japan

战后以来韩国对日外交经历了几次大抉择,如今韩国正面临对日本外交的新抉择。面对久拖不解的朝核问题和朝鲜的威胁等因素,韩日暂时搁置其矛盾在军事上谋求新的合作,并使美日韩同盟更趋紧密。不过,由于韩日军事走近会牵动韩国民众的敏感神经,同时又给东北亚周边国家的关系增加复杂的不利的因素,因此,韩日安全关系很难在短期内发生质的变化。

In relationship with Japan after the war,South Korea has experienced several important choices.Presently,South Korea faces a new choice in its diplomatic relation with Japan.Due to the long-standing nuclear issue and risk form North Korea,South Korea and Japan lay aside their conflicts and try for new cooperation,thus setting up a closer alliance of the U.S,South Korea and Japan.Nevertheless,the military approach to Japan may trigger off the old hostility of South Korea people and bring adverse factors to the relationship among nations in Northeast Asia.Therefore,the relation between South Korea and Japan can not change essentially.
