The introduction background, technology development, technology characteristics and principle of methanol to gasoline （MTG） technology by Exonmobil U. S. A was introduced. Simultaneously, the independent project tackling during applying in Tianxi MTG Company was introduced. The availability of MTG technology was also discussed, which could produce clean gasoline with no sulfur, lead -free and low olefin.
