摘要
波长转换是WDM 光网络中一项重要的基础技术。在大型光网络中,它通过波长重用,可以降低网络中因波长竞争而导致的阻塞,提高网络管理、控制和维护的灵活性。文中系统地论述了波长转换技术,首先介绍了WDM 光网络中波长转换的必要性,随后分析各种不同的波长转换技术原理。
The wavelength conversion is an important technology in WDM optical networks.In high capacity WDM networks,the network blocking probablity caused by wavelength contention can be decreased,while the capability of network management,operation and maintenance can be improved,by applying wavelength conversion technology to them.This paper firstly introduces the necessity of wavelength conversion,then analyzes the principles of different kinds of wavelength conversion techniques,discusses their characteristics,including advantages and disadvantages.
