The general developing situation of pipeline gas meter remote - reading system is discussed in this paper, and the advantages and disadvantages of sever different kind types are analyzed. Meter station(MS)-Data transmission station(DTS) - Base station(BS) - Center, which is a four-level data transmission system based on wireless - wire and telephone- net communication, is brought up. The system is generally introduced and it adopts specially the fact in our country that the buildings stand crowded and people live crowded together
