摘要
奈吉尔·塔布斯在《教师哲学》中以黑格尔的精神哲学和主奴关系辩证法为理论基础建构教师意识发展史。作为主人的教师具有独立性与权威性,教育实践的特点是控制,为教师意识发展的正题;作为仆人的教师具有依赖性,教育实践的特点是"解放"与"解构",为教师意识发展的反题";精神性"教师兼具主人和仆人意识,其精神具有同一性和自由性,是教师意识发展的最高境界。
In "Philosophy of the Teacher", Nigel Tubbs presents the developing history of teacher's consciousness on the basis of Hegel's Philosophy of the Mind and Dialectics of the relationship between the master and the servant. He states a thesis that teacher as the master with independence and authority faces the failure of education through controlling the students. And then he develops a contradictory antithesis that teacher as the servant with dependence is the reflective of the master through emancipating and deconstructing. At last, he combines and resolves the thesis and the antithesis into a coherent synthesis that the spiritual teacher as the master and the servant is the philosophical teacher.
