文章探讨了长尾理论的概念内涵以及带给图书馆界的影响和启发，并从长尾理论角度分析了现阶段高校数字图书馆资源共享中存在的问题。详细论述了ZADL项目与长尾理论的关系以及ZADL项目建设目标和建设情况，探讨了如何利用项目的研究结果指导区域高校群数字图书馆的资源配置。

The article discussed the conceptual connotation of the Long Tail Theory and its influence end enlightenment which are brought to the field of libraries. Based on the Long Tail Theory, it analyzed the existing problems which the university digital libraries have nowadays in the share of the resources, and detailed the relationship between the ZADL project and the Long Tail Theory end the architectural goal and its constructive condition. It has set up the synchronic research on the project based on the content and methods of the Long Tail Theory, using the research results to guide the construction of resources in university digital libraries.
