顾恺之画论包含的美学思想颇为丰富,迄今仍然很有借鉴价值。但顾恺之传神美学中"以形写神"的理论,留给后人的影响与争议同样巨大。本文试从顾恺之绘画美学的主题部分——形神论以及后人的评价,对怎样理解顾恺之传神论中的形神关系进行探讨。

Gu Kaizhi＇s theory of painting is quite rich in aesthetic thinking,and with a very useful reference value today.However,his theory of ＂spirit out of form＂ in his aesthetics has left a great impact upon and a big controversy among future generations.This paper,based on the aesthetics of Gu Kaizhi＇s theme paintings and the evaluation of later generations,will probe into the relationship between form and spirit in Gu Kaizhi＇s theory of ＂Soul Communication＂.
