This paper introduced the relevant information about the two Chinese mandatory national standards for architectural interior and exterior wall coatings GB 18582—2008 and GB 24408—2009,which were issued and implemented in 2008 and 2009 respectively.The scopes,test items,limited value and test methods of the standards were also analyzed and explained.The comparisons between the two standards and other related domestic and foreign standards and regulations were also done.The countermeasures which the related parties should adopt were also given.
