Effect of paper bagging on quality and appearance of Newhall navel orange fruits

【目的】探讨果实套袋技术对纽荷尔脐橙果实外观质量和内在品质的影响,为贵州南亚热带低热河谷地区纽荷尔脐橙无公害栽培提供参考依据。【方法】以纽荷尔脐橙果实为材料,分别采用黄色单层纸袋和内层黑色双层纸袋进行套袋,对套袋果实的主要品质指标进行分析。【结果】纽荷尔脐橙果实套袋后,能促进果实生长发育,明显改善果实外观;果形指数与未套袋果实无显著差异;套袋后果实可溶性固形物、总糖、维生素C和酸含量均有所下降,除酸含量外,内层黑色双层纸袋与未套袋处理之间均存在极显著差异。【结论】纽荷尔脐橙进行套袋后能促进果实生长发育,改善果实外观品质,减少病虫为害,增加果品商品价值,减少投入成本,且黄色单层纸袋套袋效果优于内层黑色双层纸袋。因此,在贵州南亚热带低热河谷地区生产纽荷尔脐橙时,宜采用黄色单层纸袋进行果实套袋。

[Objective ]The present experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of paper bagging technique on quality and appearance of Newhall navel orange fruits in order to provide the references for its pollution-free production in south subtropical river valley areas of Guizhou. [Method ]Yellow colored single paper bag and double paper bag with black inner linings were used for bagging the Newhall navel orange fruits, and the fruit quality indices were analyzed. [Result] The bagging of fruits could promote its growth and development and improve the appearance, however, the shape index of fruits did not differ with control. Further, the soluble solid matter, total sugars, vitamin C and acid content were decreased after bagging, and differed significantly in the fruits bagged with single and double paper bags. [ Conclusion ]Bagging of Newhall navel orange fruits reduced the occurrence of diseases and insect pests, decreased the production cost and improved the commercial value of fruit. The yellow single paper bagging showed better effects, therefore, it may be recommended for commercial production of Newhall navel orange fruits in south subtropical fiver valley areas of Guizhou.
