Focusing on pilot and demonstration project of maternal and child health care information system（MCHIS） based on regional health information platform（RHIN）,the paper comprehensively introduces the project background and basic point,design ideas and solutions,project goal and tasks,the current progress of project,etc.In the background of medical reform,the paper summarizes general design and construction program of MCH informationization to provide a reference to promote constriction of regional MCHIS.In the framework of ＂the 12th five-year plan ＂ health information construction programming（＂3521 project＂）,the current goal of construction is that setting up a information system to enhance and supervise the level of MCH service at the same extent,to help carry out work of MCH institution,guided by work principles of ＂combination of health care and clinical ＂ to provide the data support for making the basic point of MCH institution clearly.
