Distance education is a new teaching mode in the social background of economic information.It is based on the computer networking technology and is different from the traditional teaching mode.The distance education provides a more convenient and effective way for the continuing education and life-long education.The paper introduces the concept and development of distance education,elaborates the results and importance of developing it and discusses the existing problems.It points out that we should develop the distance education from the aspects of increasing the funding,ensuring the educational legislation and enhancing the public acknowledge.
