The paper made a review of applying variable structure control theory to guidance and control of flying vehicle,stressing on the selection of switch surface and the robust of sliding mode guidance law to disturbance and parameter perturbation. Finally the paper demonstrated the important use of variable structure theory in aerospacecraft's autopilot design. [
