Cultural Globalization and Cultural Security on Campus

文化全球化时代,加强高校文化安全建设具有多方面的意义:维护国家安全的需要;大学生健康成长的需要;民族文化发展的需要;网络安全的需要;养成文化自觉的需要;抵制西方文化渗透的需要。当下,高校文化安全面临诸多挑战:主流意识形态的遭遇挑战;西方宗教蔓延的威胁;"消费主义"文化的挑战;传统价值观遭到侵蚀;信息传播网络化的威胁。面对挑战,必须加强高校文化安全建设:加强文化安全意识教育;强化社会主义核心价值体系建设;弘扬中华民族优秀文化;打造网络文化安全平台;增强高校文化软实力;构筑文化安全的预警与防范机制。

During the course of globalization, it is of vital importance to strengthen campus cultural security in response to the needs of national security, students＇ cultural development, national cultural development, computer network security, cultural awareness development, and fending off negative influences from Western culture. At present, university cmpus security faces numerous challenges. These include one to the dominant ideology, one of infiltration of Western religions, one of an emerging consumerist culture, one of contamination of traditional values, and one posed by information dissemination by network. To deal with the threats and challenges, we need to strengthen campus cultural security, focusing on raising cultural security awareness, developing a socialist core value system, promoting traditional culture, building a platform for computer network cultural security, strengthening universities＇ ＂cultural soft power, and building an early warning and prevention mechanism for cultural safety.
