临济禅思的根本取向就在"得真正见解",对临济义玄来说,这是达到"生死不染,去住自由"境界的前提条件。黄檗希运对临济宗的贡献,成为了临济义玄禅思取向及其创新的源头;临济禅法中"三玄"、"三要",是建立在"主宾"关系这一核心理念上的。临济禅师用棒喝的方法来打断学人的颠倒妄想,针对性极强,尤其对那些没有证悟到"自心实相",而只是把自己的见解当作佛法的人来说,其见解恰成证悟"自心实相"之障碍;因此,临济棒喝禅风又源于义玄的求取"真正见解"之禅思取向。

The fundamental orientation of Rinzai Meditation Technique is ＂a genuine opinion＂. As far as Rinzai Yixuan is concerned, it is the prerequisite for the state of pure freedom. Huangbo Xiyun＇ s contribution to Rinzai School has become the origin of Rinzai Yixuan Meditation Technique, of which the Three Treatises and Three Essentials lie in the core concept of subject -object relationship. Rinzai Chan master used a blow and a shout to interrupt the scholars＇ delusion. This is highly directory especially to those who have not got the enlightenment of self -mind and reality, but just regard their own understanding as Buddhist doctrine. Therefore, Rinzai＇s blow and shout trend origins from the search for genuine opinion.
