随着人口快速增长、受教育程度不断提高和社会经济地位显著提升,当代加拿大华人的参政意识日渐觉醒,华人精英通过参加竞选和被委任等方式担任政府各级公职,普通华人民众通过参与选举投票、游行示威等方式积极参政,华人社团则积极从事选民教育,鼓励华人参政,为华人谋利益。展望未来,加拿大华人的参政前景广阔。

With the rapid growth of population and improvement of educational level and socioeconomic status, contemporary Canadian Chinese have been taking an active part in politics through different ways： the elites take public offices at different levels through election and appointment; the common people participate by means of voting and demonstrating; the Chinese associations are committed to the voter education, promotion of Chinese political involvement and interests. The prospect of Canadian Chinese political involvement is promising.
