Nanotechnology:From Possibility to Feasibility

早在1959年，美国物理学家费曼（Richard Feynman）在加州理工学院召开的美物理学会上所作的演讲中问道：“倘若我们能按意愿操纵一个个原子，将会出现什么奇迹？”费曼富有想象力地指出：“在原子水平上，我们将获得新的力量、新的可能性、新的效应”。

Nanotechnology opens a large spectrum of the possibilities in technology.However,these possibilities involve in both hopes and dangers.This spurs us on to reflect upon the concept of possibility and the movement from possibility to feasibility.This article traces the concept of possibility found in classical philosophers,analyzes the potential and realistic possibilities of nanotechnology,and criticizes the current concept of feasibility.It then considers the idea of feasibility in Chinese philosophy,and from there it summarizes the strategic principles of feasibility for developing nanotechnology.
