PUE是由绿色网格组织推出的一个测量数据中心能源使用效率的指标。CADE是运行学会提出一个衡量数据中心IT设备利用率的指标。由节能减排推动的一场绿色IT的技术革命正在兴起。PUE是受一些因素,如制冷系统、能源密度、IT设备的选择和数据中心所在区域的自然环境等的影响的。绿色IT的理念是重要的,将对IT建设发展的思路产生深刻的影响。新一代数据中心以绿色节能为主要特征。本文搜集了一些新的PUE记录,讨论了一些改进PUE的方法,目的是希望人们关注与思考节能减排的问题。同时在数据中心的设计中需要权衡建设成本与运行成本的问题。

Power Usage Effectiveness （PUE） is a metric measure created by the Green Grid to determine the energy efficiency of a datacenter. And the Corporate Average Datacenter Efficiency （CADE） proposed by Uptime Institute has been used to see the utilization ratio of IT devices. It brings a revolution of Green IT caused by reducing the carbon footprint of a datacenter. There are many factors that might influence the PUE of a datacenter, such as cooling system, power density, IT equipment, the nature environment of the area of datacenter.lt is important to understand the idea of Green IT. The purpose of this paper is to draw people＇s attention to consider the problem of improving PUE. Some new good records of PUE have been collected. There are some ways to achieve good PUE. We need to make tradeoff between the cost of buying and runing IT equipments.
