The wooden arcade bridge complex in northeastern Fujian is geographically unique which gives a good interpretation of relationship between architecture and natural environment,of the harmonious co-existence of nature and human creation.In technology,the building complex has promoted a new creation of bridge-building art,by innovation in various aspects,including humanities,ecological,economic and regional.Therefore the complex can actually be seen as a model of the extension of building space into natural space.The appearance and reservation of the wooden arcade bridge complex in northeastern Fujian is closely related to the development of local society and economy,and how to interpret it from geography perspectives is now becoming a new proposition in the study of old bridges in the area.
