在民进60多年的发展历程中,一代又一代民进人坚持中国共产党领导的多党合作和政治协商制度,形成了坚持接受中国共产党的领导,坚持爱国、民主、团结、求实,坚持立会为公、参政为民的光荣传统。新形势下,民进要按照"只有跟着共产党走,才是在正道上行"的嘱托,引导广大会员继承和发扬光荣传统,坚持和完善中国共产党领导的多党合作和政治协商制度,坚持走中国特色社会主义政治发展道路,同心协力、再接再厉,在全面建设小康社会的进程中,谱写中国共产党领导的多党合作事业的新篇章。

In the 60-year course of evolution of China Association for Promoting Democracy （CAPD）, we, from generation to generation, have been persisting in the Multi-Party Cooperation and Political Consultation System under the CPC＇ s leadership, thus forming the tradition of accepting the CPC＇ s leadership, persisting in patriotism, democracy, solidarity and realistic spirit, and adhering to the principles of serving the public interest. Under the new circumstances, according to the advice of ＂following the CPC＇ s lead is the only right way＂, the CAPD shall guide its mem- bers to inherit and carry forward the glorious tradition, persist in and improve the Multi-Party Cooperation and Political Consultation System under the CPC＇ s leadership, take the road of political development with Chinese characteristics, and compose a new chapter in multi-party cooperation under the CPC＇ s leadership during the process of building a moderately prosperous society.
