进入新时期特别是党的十六大以来,我们党的社会建设思想不断发展和成熟,确立了以改善民生为重点的社会建设的思想内容。我们党提出的社会建设思想涉及促进就业、调整收入分配、健全社会保障、发展社会事业和加强社会管理等直接关系人民群众根本利益和现实利益问题,其发展成果惠及全体人民,推动建设和谐社会。党的社会建设思想给我们的启示是必须坚持以经济建设为前提、改善民生为重点、公平正义为原则、制度机制为保障,全方位、多层次地进行社会建设。

Since the new period, especially, since the Sixteenth National Congress of the CPC, the social construction thought of our party has been developed and matured continuously, and the key point of social construction has been placed on improving the people＇ s livelihood. The social construction thought of our party involves promotion of employment, adjustment of income distribution, improvement of social security, development of social undertaking,intensification of social management, and other issues directly related to the people＇ s basic and practical interests, and the results of development benefit all the people and facilitate the construction of harmonious society. The social construction thought of the party enlightens us that the social construction should be advanced in an all - around way at different layers under the premise of economic construction, focusing on the key point of improving the people＇ s livelihood, following the principle of equity and justice, and with the guarantee of institutional development.
