中国—东盟自由贸易区的如期建成,给广西北部湾的经济发展带来了重大的发展机遇,同时也带来了严峻的挑战。广西应及时调整自己适应外在变化,认真分析与东盟国家在经济发展上存在的竞争性和经济互补性,加强与东盟国家的协调与合作,发挥自身竞争优势或通过分工获得相对优势,突出合作性,最终达成双赢或多赢。

The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has been set up as scheduled. This brings Guangxi Beibu Gulf an important development opportunity and rigorous challenge as well. Guangxi should adjust itself to the changes of the outside world, earnestly analyze the rivalry and complementarity with ASEAN countries in economic development, enhance coordination and cooperation with ASEAN countries, develop its own competitive advantage or acquire comparative advantage by division,of la- bor, and stress on cooperation to reach double wins.
