Electro Optical Properties of PDLC Incorporated with Dichroic Dye

摘要 用聚合分相法,在E- 7 液晶中掺入二色性液晶分散蓝,制成聚合物分散液晶膜。测定了它的光电性能。与不加二色性染料的聚合物分散液晶膜比较,膜对比度提高,响应时间τon 保持不变,松弛时间τoff 略有增加。 Polymer dispersed liquid crystalline (PDLC) films containing dichroic dye were prepared by the polymerization of HEMA, BMA and E 7 incorporated with dichroic dye under UV irradiation. Their eletro optical properties were measured. The results show that comparison with PDLC without the dye, its contrast ratio was enhanced, although T on decreased; the sharpness and τ on were not improved, τ off was slightly improved. These phenomena were discussed.
