Nortel Networks is the first supplier to provide 10 Gbit/sSONEI/SDH products to the market and realize bidirectional DWDM transmission over a single fiber. The system is fully compatible with existing optical fibers. 10 Gbit/s S/DMS transmission system combined with DWDM technology can provide 320 Gbit/s capacity. Nortel Networks MOR/MOR + system supports DWDM of bidirectional 32X transmission overa single fiber. 10 Gbit/s transmission platform can transfer video signal, interactive multimedia and Internet services and can help operators increase economic potential of existing optical fiber path.
