As a good natural pigment,the pigment from Rhododendron is relatively stable and nutritious.It renders a variety of colors and a good dyeing prosperities as well as a wide range of pharmacological effects.This paper describes the nature and the research progress on extraction technology of the pigment from Rhododendron.The future research of extraction technology on such field is also being prospected.
