摘要
文章基于光波导局部标准模式耦合理论,设计了一种平面光波导(PLC)型渐变结构任意分光比的光功率分配器,并利用束传播方法(BPM)进行模拟,分析了分光比为50/50、20/80和5/95这3种情况下器件的性能。这种耦合器在耦合长度1~5 mm的范围内可以实现任意分光比,相对于PLC型定向耦合器具有更大的带宽和更大的工艺容差,在实际生产中更容易实现。
On the basis of the coupled theory of local normal optical waveguide modes,we design a Planar Lightwave Circuit(PLC)-type tapered adiabatic coupler with discretionary power dividing ratio for 1.550 μm wavelength.Then,we conduct simulation in Beam Propagation Method(BPM) and analyze its performances when the dividing ratio is 50/50,20/80 or 5/95.The results show that this coupler can realize arbitrary dividing ratios when the coupled length is in the range of 1~5 mm.Compared with the PLC-type directional coupler,this coupler has larger bandwidth and process tolerance,so easier to be manufactured.
